I saw this technique of decorative lighting in an adventure map CaptainSparklez did a while back. I don't think it looks exactly like the map, but I think it's pretty friggin awesome C:
I thought this would make a pretty snazzy wallpaper, use it if you like. It's not that hard to make either. I just made a small obsidian room, placed glowstone as one wall, and layered stone brick stairs over the glowstone wall.
